Swedish Massage is a gentle, relaxing treatment involving the use of touch and manipulation of muscles to help treat the person as a whole. It can improve general wellbeing, as well as being beneficial for a range of ailments including stress, muscle tension, insomnia and migraines.
The holistic approach treats an individual as a whole being, paying attention to all its aspects (biological, psychological, social, and spiritual). Integrating a combination of techniques including massage therapy, acupressure and energy work (reiki), each therapy session is tailored based on clients’ individual needs, offering them a unique therapeutic experience.
Using forearms enhances the nourishing touch of the massage, and using elbows enables the therapist to target deeper layers of muscles and other connective tissue, such as fascia (a type of connective tissue that holds structures of the body together).
