About Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese hands-on bodywork and has its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine, often described as acupuncture without the needles. In a treatment you lie fully clothed on a futon while receiving a gentle full body massage, which is deeply relaxing and allows the body to let go of stress, tension or anxiety.

Shiatsu seeks to rebalance any disharmony and strengthen the body’s own energies and emotions that flow through the body.

People come to Shiatsu for a number of reasons, it may be for a specific health issue, a range of stress related symptoms, or just to enjoy deep relaxation and maintain good health. It can also help relieve muscle pain, headaches, back pain, sciatica, improve blood circulation, digestion, sleep issues, musculoskeletal and joint pain.

We hold our life in our body; everything we learn and all our emotional reactions to life's experiences are carried within us. Our emotional journey empowers us to move forward but sometimes we forget when it's time to let go and make space for new learning.

Sometimes we move on from difficult times but feel we are still reliving them.

Sarah Holder uses Shiatsu and Energy Field Healing to help people release old emotions stuck in their body so they can live at their highest potential in the present.

Sarah has been practising Shiatsu for over 15 years.  Through the healing power of touch, Shiatsu improves physical and emotional symptoms that in turn leads to an improvement in health and wellbeing.

Shiatsu is given through loose comfortable clothing, as no oils are used.
